--And finally, just a little tiara love to start your week: Cartier's take on a coral tiara, up for auction in June from the Metropolitan Opera Guild.
This beautiful art deco Cartier tiara was a fave with many on my Stories yesterday so I'm reposting here. It will be auctioned at Christies New York on 20 June as part of the Metropolitan Opera Guild collection. You can just picture it being worn by a soprano standing stage-front, the diamonds glittering under the lights. Designed as two rows of graduating coral tablets, each tablet centers upon a diamond star motif and is topped with graduating pearls and collet-set diamonds, flanked on each side by single and old-cut diamond festoons. Its estimate is $200,000 - 300,000, here's hoping it goes to a worthy home. #cartier #christiesjewels #artdecojewels #metopera #coral #diamonds
